A Window Seat To Heaven

A faint drizzle, a gentle breeze.
Life is heaven, and my heart at peace.
It turns a melancholic mind, into a hopeless romantic.
When, through the bus window, this sight you see.

The dark glass windows are no joy today.
Insulating you from the rain at play.
I wish I could open the windows as much as I can.
But then, the lady in front may have something to say.
No sun today, to burn you, or to make you blind.
And neither is the air filled with dust and dirt, unkind.
Just a calm moist breeze messing your well combed hair.
But you are so much in love with life, that you dont really mind.
The world seems so beautiful, your heart begins to sing.
Even the feathered ones agree as they glide with open wings.
As the bus glides over watery potholes, the walkers run for cover.
Riding that big metal chariot, u feel like a king.
Its times like these, which make a poet out of a regular joe.
I am in no hurry to reach office, I wish the bus would go slow.
But alas, a few ignorant mortals doze off, away in their dreams.
Heaven was just outside the window, oh, little did they know.

lovely description.....beautifully crafted...poignant in all its simplicity.....especially likd da end where some people choose to ignore the presence of heaven when its right in front of them to experience! :)
